The Kedron-Wavell Sub Branch RSL Inc is affiliated with a number of Associations.  These include the following:

THE KEDRON-WAVELL SUB BRANCH WOMEN’S AUXILIARY

The KWRSL Women’s Auxiliary provide support to the Sub Branch and Community and meet every Thursday morning in at Kedron-Wavell (Services Club).  For further information concerning the Women’s Auxiliary, contact Carmel Gould, the Women’s Auxiliary President at the Sub Branch on (07) 3359 0460.

THE KITTYHAWK DAY CLUB

The Kittyhawk Day Club fosters social participation for aged people in Chermside by creating a social place to build friendships and have fun activities.  The Day Club offers gentle exercise, fun activities and guest speakers on health and wellbeing.  It builds collaborative partnerships with other groups and organisations.

The Kittyhawk Day Club meets  every Thursday morning from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Milne Bay Memorial Hall and Research Centre Historical Precinct, Kittyhawk Drive, Chermside.   Morning tea and lunch is provided for a $6.00 fee.

While the venue is wheelchair accessible, the Day Club may not be able to meet some of the special needs of community participants.  If you are interested in attending, then please contact Angela Brown at the Sub Branch on (07) 3359 0460.

THE PARTNERS OF VETERANS ASSOCIATION OF AUSTRALIA INC. (PVA)

The PVA is a not-for-profit, non-government voluntary organisation.  The Chermside PVA meet every second Friday at the Kedron-Wavell Services Club – Long Tan Room at 10:00 am for morning tea and a meeting.  For further information concerning the Chermside PVA, please contact Priscilla Lilliebridge on (07) 3353 5597.

THE KEDRON-WAVELL LEGACY CARE GROUP

The Kedron-Wavell Legacy Care Group are a voluntary organisation supported by veterans, servicemen and women and volunteers drawn from all walks of life.   They provide services for those who are suffering economically and socially after the death of a spouse or parent and their support and services extend to include the dependants of members of today’s Australian Defence Force who lose their lives or their health as a result of their military service
