Kedron Wavell RSL Sub-Branch has a collection of memorabilia covering the period from the Boer War (1899- 1902) through to recent conflicts and peace keeping operations. A small group of volunteers look after the collection of memorabilia held by the club. Most of the items held by the club have been donated by members and families of serving or ex-service defence personnel.
A portion of the items held is displayed in the cabinets on the first floor of the club building, and in the sub-branch office. Sub-branch members, and members of the public are welcome to view the displays whenever the club is open. These displays are updated on a regular basis.
The Collection has been divided into different areas including, Artefacts, Badges, Clothing, Collections, Medals and Documents, Flags and Plaques, Newspapers and Magazines, Photographs, Paintings, Posters, Prints, Weapons, Charts and Other Items. All items are catalogued and detailed on a data base held by the sub-branch
Should you have any items that may be considered for inclusion in the sub-branch memorabilia collection please contact the sub-branch office on [email protected], or by phone at (07) 33590460. A member of the memorabilia team will then arrange the assessment and receipt of the items.
