THE KEDRON-WAVELL SUB BRANCH WOMEN’S AUXILIARY
The KWRSL Women’s Auxiliary provide support to the Sub Branch and Veteran Community and meet every Thursday morning in at Kedron-Wavell Ltd (Club). For further information concerning the Women’s Auxiliary, contact Carmel Gould, the Women’s Auxiliary President at the Sub Branch on (07) 3359 0460.
THE KITTYHAWK DAY CLUB
The Kittyhawk Day Club fosters social participation for aged people in Chermside by creating a social place to build friendships and have fun activities. The Day Club offers gentle exercise, fun activities and guest speakers on health and wellbeing. It builds collaborative partnerships with other groups and organisations.
The Kittyhawk Day Club meets every Thursday morning from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Milne Bay Memorial Hall and Research Centre Historical Precinct, Kittyhawk Drive, Chermside. Morning tea and lunch is provided for a $6.00 fee.
While the venue is wheelchair accessible, the Day Club may not be able to meet some of the special needs of community participants. If you are interested in attending, then please contact Angela Brown at the Sub Branch on (07) 3359 0460.
THE PARTNERS OF VETERANS ASSOCIATION OF AUSTRALIA INC. (PVA)
The PVA is a not-for-profit, non-government voluntary organisation. The Chermside PVA meet every second Friday at the Kedron-Wavell Services Club – Long Tan Room at 10:00 am for morning tea and a meeting.
