I just noticed that the AGM for the Sub Branch was held on the 12/3/19
It would be nice to have prior notice for this AGM. The club sent out invitations to their AGM two weeks in advance, it is easy as hitting a few buttons to those that have e mail addresses and most people do. Also I think you need to have someone to clean up your pages, 2018 is gone and any info can be filed. Member number 101058

    • Hello Max, we have 1500 members of which we only have permission to send emails to approx 150 (remembering the age demographics of the majority of our members who are not comfortable with email) so that “it is easy as hitting a few buttons” doesn’t work for us but as we had mailed and emailed (to our 150 emails) out the newsletter in December with the AGM notice included as per usual this has never been a problem in the past. We did have a post on the web page, facebook, in our last newsletter and on display at the entrance to the Sub Branch. You are correct in saying our page needs a clean up but with our Honorary Secretary receiving a cancer diagnosis in October and unable to work with us then passing away at Christmas time we have spent time in other areas which are way more important than a web page very few people visit (once again remembering the age demographics of the majority of our members!) and training a new Honorary Secretary over the next few months. Our office is manned by volunteers, unlike the Services Club. We have followed our guidelines and rules on how our AGM is announced, I am sorry you missed all our areas where the AGM Notice was placed. The Web page is a very slow work in progress especially when we have more important work to be completed, it will be updated and hopefully cleaned out when time permits.
